Its technically not the greatest shot i know, the deer is a little soft, but i loved the expression too much not to upload.

It may not be "the greatest shot" but it's still a beautiful one.

Even though the deer is soft, its expression conveys such an emotion to the viewer that it makes this photo very strong. The fact you mentioned about the deer being too soft almost doesnt even matter, because the viewers eye is drawn toward the main subject, and the subjects expression completes the picture with an overwhelming sense of emotion.

...well, that's what I got from it at least =/

well for this technically not being a great shot...it's still great! lol. how did you take so many great pictures of deer? Did you have to go to a reservation for wild animals or something? they're amazing

They are pretty much all over the forests in the UK, so its just a case of stalking around until you find some :)

very cool :) they're in the forest here too, but you have to be really really quiet not to startle them :) really well done!

well, i think it's a great shot. it shows a rare expression which can have thousands of meanings. and i guess just the deer will know what he wanted to say with this mimic

:aww: It looks like it's yawning.

Deer reserves? Around where I live we have a "few" too many.
