Critiques
The upper part of the sky is a bit too much, which makes it look like dead space. Everything is going on in the lower part of the picture. A panoramic crop may work here. Second "problem" is the placement of the branches. If you take it into the picture, i'd use it as real starting point for the viewer and place it further afar from the edge, but also not really centered. You can experiment to connect it with the background.
Again i would like to say that i like the swallow DOF here, really adds something to the picture that the viewer needs to think about. Interesting work!
