Just decided to put up another entry to my flowers in black gallery. Its a bit different due to there being more in the photo than just a flower, but i like it more than the others. Anyway, enjoy.
This picture is amazing ! I love the framing and the angle choosed by the photographer. This really dark, black background is perfect because it highlights the flower and this gorgeous flashy pink. The focus is so well done : the flower and its petals are perfectly clear while its stem and the two buds behind are blurring. All the elements of this photograph are used to highlight the flower which firstly may seem trivial but with this composition becomes a real treasure for our eyes ! I can not find a bad point to this photograph, it's a very good job Well done !

I'm actually really jealous of your style. The whole 'flowers in black' gallery is stunning. I actually think the ones with just the flower are a lot more powerful, the flower just seems to draw a lot more attention since the vibrant colours of the flower offers a strong contrast against the black background. But this one with the stems offers a subtle different aspect to the gallery, and I definitely think this photo makes the whole gallery more diverse. Also adding the stems adds a sense of composition and structure, it is perfectly clear and placed, and all together fascinating. Once again I'm jealous, well done.

Pretty much, I used some black card too. I shot this a year ago, so Im not 100 percent sure anymore!
