Other critiques seem to focus more on the colors (which are beautiful btw) than what this piece actually captures. For me this is not so much a nightscape nor a light trail shot. It instead tells a story of how two things relate: nature & technology.

The sense of speed which one gets from the light trails shows how quick we progress as a civilization. The dark stillness of the surrounding earth and sky serves as a lovely backdrop for such progress.

A previous comment claimed that the white streak of light was the one flaw. Yet this is what makes the piece unique. If it too were to be of an orange tint, the shot would be ruined.

Society is considered a melting pot, consisting of people of different colors and cultures. To remove those things which make us different would make the world bland if not nightmarish. Similarly, a world untouched by human industry would be a world without safety, convenience, and warmth (not to mention modern joys such as browsing art online.)

There are obvious contradictions in the forms and colors of each (the organic and inorganic), yet the whole of which they are simply parts is a thing of true beauty. Beautiful not in the mechanical, semester of art school sort of way; but beautiful in the sense that it is interesting and it is real.
